What does Autobritt do to protect your personal data?

Keen to protect the privacy of its customers, Autobritt takes all the most appropriate measures to comply with the Federal Law on Data Protection (LPD) and the corresponding Ordinance (OLDP) and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD).

With this privacy statement, we would like to inform you about the data we collect, how this information is used and how you can inform us of your preferences regarding the use and processing of this data.

What data is collected and when?

Autobritt collects some of your personal data, mainly in the context of our business relations, such as :

  • The purchase of your vehicle, New orPre Owned
  • Workshop visits for service, work, bodywork and accessory purchases
  • Your participation in satisfaction surveys for the brands we represent and surveys carried out to improve our service.

We only collect data that is necessary for the proper functioning of our commercial relationship, i.e. :

  • First and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Postal address
  • Email address
  • Mobile and landline telephone numbers
  • Bank references for leasing applications and/or repayments in your favor.

Other data, which may be collected for more specific purposes, will be named explicitly and clearly at the time of collection.

When you visit our website www.autobritt.ch, we temporarily store :

  • The IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of access
  • The website from which the domain was accessed
  • The website from which the domain was accessed
  • Your computer's operating system and the browser you use,
  • The country from which you access our website

Why do we collect your personal data?

Your personal data will be used in the context of our contractual and commercial relationship:

  • For Autobritt's customer account management, so that we can contact you for periodic services and manufacturer reminders.
  • For the management of customer accounts by the brands we have in our dealerships, including the management of warranties and the monitoring of the life of your vehicle.
  • For commercial prospecting by sending newsletters, offers, promotions and invitations to events.

Autobritt undertakes not to use your personal data for purposes other than those set out in this charter, and not to pass them on to third parties other than those mentioned above.

If Autobritt uses a subcontractor to carry out work or services on your vehicle, Autobritt will ensure that the subcontractor provides sufficient guarantees to protect your rights.

How long do you keep your personal data?

Your personal data will be kept for the duration of our business relationship with you, from prospecting to sales, and for as long as you use our after-sales service.

It may continue for a limited number of purposes, such as the billing cycle, compliance with legal, tax and/or contractual requirements, including internal audits.
